Recommended Unit Abbreviations
Most players choose to abbreviate the names of the game piece units when
posting their turns, or use unit designators commonly in use in the US
Military. The following is a list of commonly used designators and
abbreviations. The first listed designator is preferred.
Ground Units Sea Units Air Units
Infantry - INF Transport - TRN Fighter - FTR, VF
Armor - ARM Submarine - SUB, SS Bomber -BMB, VB, VA
Anti-Aircraft - AA Carrier - AC, CV Long Range - LR
Industrial Complex - IC Battleship-BB Jet FTR - JFTR
ORDER SENDING AND AMENDMENT GUIDELINES:
- A player may send out special instructions or secret orders to the GM at any
time, however, they must be RECEIVED by the GM prior to the turn being
rolled.
- A player may send out any changes to his orders at any time,
however, they must be RECEIVED by the GM prior to the turn being rolled.
- In rare or unusual circumstances (such as a pivotal mammoth battle that would
require very long and confusing if/thens) a player may send in a partial or
split turn. This may only be done for extremely unusual circumstances. The
players may mutually agree to this. If there is no mutual agreement, the GM
will make the initial decision if this is to be allowed and the players may
consult the Chancellor of Law if necessary. In general, all turns are to be
sent in their entirety in one send.
- The movement orders of both Combat and Non-Combat will take precedence
over map updates. After the turn is rolled, a player may not change any valid
Combat or Non-Combat movements without the other player's permission. A player
may change any invalid Non-Combat move. Examples of invalid Non-Combat
movements would be moving an arm moving 3 spaces, trying to put 3 INF on a
transport, not enough transports, moves blocked by submarine withdrawls, etc.
- If a battle is invalidated due to a sender error and the player chooses
not to fight the battle with the correct number of units then those units
initially assigned to fight may not move during non-combat.
