IAAPA Complete Unabridged Rules - Part 2 New Games and Challenges

Last Updated July 25, 1999

Questions and comments should be directed to our Minister of Law John (law@axisandallies.net).

New players will be assigned their first game. After that, a player may seek opponents through the Player Pool or the "Challenges" folder on the IAAPA BBS. After finding an opponent in this manner, go to Member Services on the Web Site and Issue a Challenge to your potential opponent. Both you and the IAAPA member you challenged will receive an email notification of the challenge, and then the person who was challenged goes to IAAPA Member Services and either accepts or declines the challenge. If it is accepted, a GM will be automatically assigned (if necessary) and a game number assigned. All of this information will be sent to all relevant parties by the IAAPA server.

Game Challenge Time Limits

When a player issues a game challenge he may place an "expiration date" in the comments section of the challenge screen. Day one of the challenge will be the calendar day that it was issued. If the challenge is not accepted by the calendar day following the expiration date then said challenge is canceled. The time that the challenge was issued is ignored. If no expiration date is entered the default will be 14 days.

Example: A game challenge issued anytime on January 10 with a 3 day expiration must be accepted by January 12, 11:59PM of the time zone of the challenged.

Example: A game challenge issued anytime on January 10 with a no expiration date must be accepted by January 23, 11:59PM of the time zone of the challenged.

Example: A game challenge issued anytime on January 10 with a note "expires on January 30" must be accepted by January 30, 11:59PM of the time zone of the challenged.
