GroeFaZ - Minister of Tournaments
First of all I want to say "Thank you" to Boromir for all the work he has done as Chancellor of Adjudication. Unfortunatly he lacked the time to do the job anymore. For now I took over the adjudication and got the tournaments running again. There had been some delayed round starts in several tournaments. I am sorry about that. But all tournaments are running on schedule now and I don't expect any major delays in 2005.
There has been a change in the turn submission guidelines which is in effect for all tourney from 2005 on. Here are the new criterias you
have to meet - keep them in mind when signing up for a tournament:
1. A player is required to submit at least one turn every 3 days
unless prior notification is given.
2. The notice should include the reason for the delay and the date
that play is expected to resume
3. If your opponent has not sent in his turn it is suggested that
you contact him and make an inquiry about the delay.
4. If you opponent has not sent in his turn within 3 days, and has
not sent you a notice explaining the delay, as per (2) above, then
you may follow the forfeit procedures.
If you don't reach US 5 by adjudication and both sides are at fault, neither advances. If you do not reach US 10 by the time of adjudication and one side is clearly at fault, then the advancement goes to the opponent.
This means that neither player is obligated to file complaints about slow play
The ITSL has a new Coordinator: RedDwarf! The inventor of the League returns to take care of promoting and managing it. You still have the chance to sign up for the 2005 season. If you are looking for a team go to our BBS and post a message. And if you are asking yourself what the hell I am talking about, have a look here: http://www.axisandallies.net/public/tourneys/team/index_2003.html
There are a lot of tournaments in which the finals are underway. Once all tournaments of 2003 are finished a "champions" tournament, including all tournament winners, will be held.
This year will also feature two new tournaments - a "Cheetah Chase" for the fastest players in IAAPA and a "Slug Race" for the turtles. Stay tuned for more information!
Since the last BattleField Revue one tournament has ended. Here is the winner:
