Armoured Divisions Information

The Essentials of Armoured Divisions

These units represent tanks or armour. They attack at a '3', defend at a '2' and have 2 movement points. These units may also perform a special maneuver called a blitz, which allows them to travel through an unoccupied territory (friendly or enemy) on the way to another enemy territory which can be occupied (in which case combat will occur) or unoccupied (in which case it is still combat movement but liberation is automatic).

Frequently Asked Questions about Armoured Divisions

  1. Q: Can an armour participate in combat movement in more than one territory in one turn?
    A: Yes, but only when blitzing, provided that the first territory was friendly or enemy controlled and unoccupied. The first territory may not be a neutral territory. The second territory may be enemy occupied, enemy controlled, friendly, or neutral. You can blitz "to" but not "through" a neutral territory.

  2. Q: Can an armour move after it has been transported?
    A: No, it is considered to have exhausted its movement during transport.

  3. Q: Can armour retreat from battles along with other units after they have already exhausted their 2 movement points?
    A: Yes, when you retreat any unit you are not using up movement points, you are using the special retreat option.
