Transport Information

The Essentials of Transports

Once a transport unloads ANY of its cargo its turn is completed and it may neither move, load nor unload again later that turn. Transports may unload into one or two friendly land territories during non-combat provided both are adjacent to the sea zone containing the transport. Transports may unload into only one amphibious assault.

Frequently Asked Questions about Transports

  1. Q: Can a transport destroy its cargo?
A: The only way the cargo can be destroyed is for the transport to be sunk during battle. A player cannot willingly destroy any playing piece.

  2. Q: Can I load 2 inf onto a transport and then conduct an amphibious assault with only one of the inf?
A: No. During combat, only units involved in combat may board the transport and accordingly all must participate in combat. If units happen to be aboard a trn at the start of the turn, then the player may move the trn in combat and then select which units are to participate in combat Of course, the non-participating units must remain on the trn and may not move during non-combat.
