2026 Air Challenge
Tournament Director: Spud
The 2026 version of this tournament will have slightly different rules than last year's tournament. For this year, the following rules will apply:
Bidding:
- There will be NO restrictions on the type of units that can be included in the bid. (ie ground units are allowed)
- fighters will cost 5 ipcs and bombers will cost 8 ipcs
- AA guns will cost 2 ipcs
- all other units will be standard price
Unit Prices after Bidding
- fighters and bombers will remain at 5 ipcs and 8 ipcs respectively
- AA guns will revert to their usual 5 ipcs for the remainder of the game
- all other units will be standard price
General Rules
- no amphibious assaults on UK in round 1
- no Magic 84 victory
- no tech allowed
- fighter and bomber range will remain as usual, 4 spaces and 6 spaces respectively
- all other standard 2nd edition and IAAPA rules apply, including those related to air movement and unit placements. In particular, unlike last year, ftrs and bmbs DO NOT have extended ranges in this year's version.
