IAAPA Tournaments

In addition to regular Association sanctioned games, the IAAPA runs several tournaments during the year.

Tournament Guidelines:

  1. Unless otherwise noted, all tournament rounds will be 2 months long
  2. Games not finished within the allotted time will be adjudicated for advancement (players are encourage to continue the game after adjudication) unless there is agreement between the players regarding advancement.
  3. Turns should be sent at least once every 3 days. If your opponent fails to do so without prior notification, you can send a "slow play" report to the tournament director. If it happens a second time, the director will issue a formal warning to the offending player,
    • if the game goes to adjudication, the slow play warning will be considered by the adjudicators when deciding a winner
    • if a player receives 3 slow play warnings they will be disqualified.
  4. If the game has not reached the end of US7 turn, and no slow play warnings have been issued, neither player will advance.
