IAAPA HAVOC Headlines !!!

CRY HAVOC

A word from the editor of Havoc

Another issue! or is it just another issue . . .? !

I hope all the membership enjoys what has been brought to them via this issue and would ask that the membership participate in this the memberships periodical. IAAPA I have always found has the feel of a community. I hope this periodical will continue in the future.

There are many, who step forward and do their part in my opinion, and I would like to thank them for there help and support, it all counts. I couldn't make this happen without Sohoa & Airship, my trusted allies in the production of Havoc.

An open letter to the Members

We wish to congratulate the winners of the election for their devotion to the club. We would like to thank them for their time spent in trying to make this club a great place to play A&A.

To Our new President
We are looking forward to working with you for the betterment of the club and wish you the best in your quest to create a better gaming arena for the members.

To the Members
To those of you who took the time to vote. Thanks for your support of the club.

     The Guys from Havoc

Due to lack of support from the members Havoc will not be presenting any new items for you to enjoy. We were forced to scale back our issues to every other month and if the lack of support continues then we will scale it back even further.

The Squire

Well, I was going to introduce another new section to the "Havoc".

We would have been printing the best concession speeches that we came across while reading the Logs. It could have been funny, sad, hopeful or just plain mean. So look for it in another issue. Maybe! If we get some feedback.

Amgor vs me

Well!! I thought that I knew it all when it came to this game. It was however pointed out to me how wrong I was. I had the misfortune in a tournament game to make a fatal error in ship placement. I put my Japanese Ac with 2 ftr on board in the New Zealand sz. I knew that the enemy sub sitting in the West Panama sz. Was just lurking a mere 50 feet beneath the surface. What I did not know was that the sub could reach me. I was sure that after very careful measurements that it took three moves to reach me. I did not realize that the Peru sz bordered the New Zealand sz. As well. I thought that only the Chile sz did. Those darn little Island maps. Well needless to say that darn sub snuck up and suckered punched the Ac to the bottom of the sea. The 2 ftrs valiantly tried their best to keep the ship afloat but they too ran out of gas. The Pacific was coated with the blood of innocent Japanese sailors mixed with diesel fuel. I am no longer in the tournament-- end of story.

Letters to the Team @ HAVOC

Hello,
I am probably too late, but the Mannerheim line was in Finland. The Russians attacked it during their war with Finland immediately after the start of WWII. The Russians' poor performance in that war was one of the factors that convinced Hitler that Russia would be an easy target for attack.

Incidentally, I really enjoyed the magazine. Keep up the good work!

By the way, it's obvious that the bid statistics and graphs entail A LOT of work. They are very well done and extremely informative. I think we will see an even greater increase in the bids as a result of your work.

Thanks,
Jingikan

I just finished the February issue of "Havoc". As always, I was not disappointed. You gentlemen continue to provide a quality 'zine with timely information and wonderful commentary.

If the castle ever needs a guard dog, just whistle.

Looking forward to a good cooperation with the Havoc team in the future.

The Mannerheim line is in Finland. And I believe it was the Soviets who attacked in November 1939.

~Sephorin

Greetings Most Esteemed Colleagues,

The Mannerheim Line was in Finland, and the Russians Attacked it in November 1939, royally pissing off both the Germans and the British. The Line was eventually breached, but not without heavy losses on the Russian Side.
